Euro and the meaning of life

There are few external parameters that are as important to the legal profession as a rational sense of what we do. Rationality is, in theory, a statement of faith by a lawyer.
When this sense of rationality in external reality is lacking, the sense of practicing the legal profession weakens. If the judgments of the courts become completely unpredictable, if the minister of justice becomes the guards and defender of unlawful activities, when the Polish way of applying and understanding the law is in conflict with the entire civilized Europe, it is difficult to maintain ideological faith in the sense of what is done in this profession. Yes, you can still work for money by laboriously typing hours into the timesheet. Probably at some point in your career, that’s more than enough. But in the end, we live for the vision of ourselves that we create every day.
Today’s political game in Poland takes us not only the euro from the reconstruction plan. In fact, it takes much more, it takes away the meaning and significance of law as a way of arranging social relations.
