Belief in the hierarchy

When I hear about the plans for further changes in the courts, I experience doubts as to the sense of the profession of a lawyer, attorney-at-law, and legal advisor. All in all, our profession is based on the hierarchy, on the belief that there, at the very top, in the Supreme Court, are the smartest among us.

Without the conviction that the system is based on competence and competence derives from freedom and autonomy – it is difficult to convince yourself of your legal arguments when it is known that you cannot count on their verification in accordance with the qualitative hierarchy of the judicial system.

Such changes threaten not only the courts, but the functioning of the law in all its forms. Because courts exist not only to adjudicate but to guarantee the quality of the system.
